“I have witnessed the success and positive energy of SWS from the very beginning and have represented SWS at various international conferences and received enormous interest from young people, universities, the United Nations and members of governments. I would like to share our successes with other countries, bring together students who are committed to sustainability, raise global awareness of global and local concrete measures for sustainable development and empower universities to actively shape change.”

“Already before my time as a student (first environmental engineering, now landscape architecture) sustainability was an important topic in my life. After two successful LSWs in Rapperswil and a lot of experience, I had the opportunity to deepen my commitment to sustainability on an international level. With the SWI I would like to bring the topic of sustainability further to the public and show people that sustainability can also be fun and does not only mean renunciation.”

“In my work as an engineer, I see that in addition to technical approaches, other solutions are needed to limit climate change. During the two LSW’s in Rapperswil I was able to gain a lot of new experiences and motivated different people to more sustainability. I want encourage people in other countries to rethink because climate change as a global problem cannot be solved alone.”

My mission is to inspire people around sustainability and create a new responsible culture for a better world. I worked over 3 years as Sustainability Program Manager supporting international organizations to include sustainability in their company culture. I support NGOs that are focused on the environment and biodiversity protection. As a student of UNITAR Master in Responsible Management for Climate Action in Switzerland I joined the SWI to support the education system to create future leaders that will make a difference for our Planet and take concrete actions against climate change.

“During my time studying in School of Environment of Tsinghua University, I helped set up a LSW. The experience was both inspiring and challenging. Sustainability is a grand topic concerning not only advanced technology but cooperation and social action. Only with more people getting involved, can we hope for a better future. Working for SWI gives me an excellent opportunity to learn and also make a little difference.”
