Sustain-ability: ” In the broadest possible sense, sustainability refers to the ability of something to maintain or “sustain” itself over time. ”
Only by educating ourselves and the future generations on how to live in balance with nature we give ourselves the opportunity to a create more Just, Equitable, Diverse and Inclusive future.

“I have witnessed the success and positive energy of SWS from the very beginning and have represented SWS at various international conferences and received enormous interest from young people, universities, the United Nations and members of governments. I would like to share our successes with other countries, bring together students who are committed to sustainability, raise global awareness of global and local concrete measures for sustainable development and empower universities to actively shape change.”

Lead Secretary Department
LSW Advisor for Togo, Haiti and Mexico

“Already before my time as a student (first environmental engineering, now landscape architecture) sustainability was an important topic in my life. After two successful LSWs in Rapperswil and a lot of experience, I had the opportunity to deepen my commitment to sustainability on an international level. With the SWI I would like to bring the topic of sustainability further to the public and show people that sustainability can also be fun and does not only mean renunciation.”

“In my work as an engineer, I see that in addition to technical approaches, other solutions are needed to limit climate change. During the two LSW’s in Rapperswil I was able to gain a lot of new experiences and motivated different people to more sustainability. I want encourage people in other countries to rethink because climate change as a global problem cannot be solved alone.”

Sustainability has been a part of my personal and professional life for many years. Previously, I conducted research on microgrid systems with renewable energy resources, volunteered in disaster relief activities, and explored sustainability-oriented customer relationship management in the business sector. My experience has convinced me that climate change represents an unprecedented threat to modern society, and our generation must answer the global call of sustainability. But I noticed that there is a huge awareness-action gap in it. With SWI I would like to bridge the gap, for our planet and a brighter future for humanity

Biggest motivation is my mom and her local sustainability practices and another is my mistakes that i was doing before joining the field of climate change, environment protection and sustainability which was against the principle of conservation and sustainability and promised myself and nature that will be there to do my best fro conservation and promotion of sustainability till last end by motivating youth and upcoming generation.
